INTENT: to research a contemporary architect, the origins of his/her background and philosophy towards design, and how that work relates to the original triumvirate of Mies, Corbu and Frank Lloyd Wright. In addition, you are asked to investigate how this architect’s work was inspired or influenced by the surrounding local context.
2. Then you should prepare a PowerPoint presentation discussing the architect’s work and practice in terms of:
who he/she is,
what sources of inspirations do they have,
what their design philosophy is,
how their work and design ideas changed over time,
when they started, and
Where their practice is.
3. Your presentation should include three examples of their work, carefully chosen and well presented. This work should be organized in some way: chronologically, typologically, geographically, etc. Your report should have a good balance between images. The intent is to convey through images a strong sense of the unique body of work of that practice.
