Complete a critique of an article that discusses the principals role in literacy leadership. Make sure you relate your article to education, specifically, educational leadership. Cite your source properly and be sure to include citations throughout your critique. Be sure to paraphrase. APA format. Make sure this is a true critique and not just summary. This should include a summary of the article, implications for educational leadership, strengths, weaknesses, gaps in research, opportunities for further research. - Properly composed and formatted running head
- Article was published less than 6 years ago (if possible)
B. Pages 2-3 Full title of the article (titles 1 5 are all level one headings)

- Is the problem clearly stated?
- Is the problem practically important?
- What is the purpose of the study?
- What is the hypothesis?
- Are the key terms defined?
- Review of Literature
- Are the cited sources pertinent to the study?
- Is the review too broad or too narrow?
- Are the references recent?
- Are the references thorough enough for the topic of the paper?
- What possible evidence of bias exists?
- Design and procedures
- What research design was used (survey, observation, experiment)?
- Was it a pilot, replica study, or an original study?
- What measurement tools were used? What statistical formulas were employed?
- How were the procedures structured?
- What are the variables? How was sampling conducted?
- Data Analysis and presentation
- How were data analyzed?
- W ere data qualitative or quantitative?
- Did findings support the hypothesis and purpose?
- Were weaknesses and problems discussed?
- Conclusions and Implications
- Are the conclusions of the study related to the original purpose?
- Address the credibility of the authors or principal investigators.

- Whom will the results and conclusions affect?
- What recommendations were made at the conclusion?
