Instructions
The final part of your Curriculum Plan will consist of an essay paper which summarizes the plans you have created. The paper will include information about the class, your focus children and how you will support and implement methods and practices. You will use the information from your Focus Children and Activity Planning Template assignments.
Format of the Paper
Introduction
In this section, write a brief introduction that will allow your reader to follow the organization of your assignment and the focus of your observations and planning.
Summary of the Goals of Group
In this section, describe the population of the class. What are the ages, class size, how many adults are in the class and what are their roles?
Summary of the Goals of the Focus Children
In this section, describe each of the three (3) Focus children. What are the childs ages, what concerns are there and what are his or her strengths and interests? Is there a diagnosis? If so, what is that? Is there an IEP? If so, what are the main goals? If not, what goals do the parents and you have for the child?
Supporting and Implementing Methods and Practices
In this section, explain how you might best support this child using Developmentally Appropriate Practices. Describe the Activity you have created to support the students. How will you incorporate Differentiated Instruction and Universal Design for Learning into your planned activities? What are one or two considerations or suggestions that should be included into the classroom environment to support the needs of the children? Include a minimum of two (2) connections to the text and/or lectures. Include in-text citations.
Conclusion
Briefly summarize the ideas that you discussed in the above paragraphs and briefly explain of the significance of these ideas.
