Once you are done reading chapter 1, write a double-spaced, 1-2 page essay that identifies and explores at least THREE different Native groups that existed before Europeans arrived.. Quote the author’s words at least twice from Chapter 1 as you write this. Make sure you use MLA formatting in quoting the author. I have put links in the Announcements on MLA formatting. Submit your written response in the "Assignments" tab.
As you think about writing your essay, think about the diversity among Native American groups in terms of geography, ideology and overall way of being. This is what you should highlight in your short essay.
