• Designing a Colony on Another Planet or Moon (Worksheet #1)
As with any major scientific project, there are a wide variety of scientists that are involved in solving problems. You have been hired by the Canadian Space Agency to be a part of a team with the goal of having humans live on another planet. The specific goals of this project are the following:
• make a recommendation on a suitable planet/moon to inhabit that has the best chance of supporting human life • create an ecosystem of living organisms that will help to sustain human life • determine components of the atmosphere that are crucial for both human and plant life • make a recommendation on a method of electrical generation to support human life • design and build a model of the living quarters for 4 colonists including designing electrical wiring
