The only organization model that works in today’s global market requires a flexible, decentralized structure allowing employees to use computer and internet-connected teams that supervise themselves through mutual adjustement. Therefore, I would implement a form of this same structure in both locations.
COMMENT TWO:
No matter where they are located, employees need cotrol and structure, so I would implement the same model and system of control in both locations.
COMMENT THREE:
Texas and New York may well respond to different organization models. However, the only way to be sure which models would work best is to send a research team to both locations to discover : (1) the values, expectations, and skills of the potential managers and employees; and (2) external factors such as the economy of the area and potential customer needs and wants. Once discovered, I would use this information to implement the best organization model for each location whether it was traditional, human relations, human resources, or even transformational.
COMMENT FOUR:
I would establish a formalized structure of control in upstate New York, and a friendly , casual mode in Texas to match the people found in the two locations.
COMMENT FIVE:
People want to be respected and liked no matter where they are located. To improve productivity , I would create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in both locations – everyone loves the feeling of belonging.
COMMENT SIX:
All employees experience more personal satisfaction when they are involved in deciion making. I would establish teams of employees at both locations and allow them to help make important organization and product decisions.
