I’m an international student of master in comparative literature the module of this essay is called Literature and Medicine. one of the topics we discussed was concerning memory, the human brain and neurology and how they are represented in literary texts. The essay must cover the following:- Compare and contrast the literary and medical representations of cases of prodigious memory in Borges and Sacks.- ’To value forgetting instead of vilifying it is to recognize that the forgetting of many details of daily life is not only practically useful – in order to become less distracted and preoccupied – but, in fact, necessary to our well-being’.
