For this weeks post, I will discuss the literature I am selecting and what it indicates about the first variable I have chosen to include in my research study.
My first variable is Stress Management and the literature I am selecting will indicate various sources for work-related stressors and subsequent methods of preventing and managing stress effectively.
According to Bhui (2016), studies have shown organizational interventions were perceived as more effective for managing stress at work than individual interventions. Modifying or eliminating environmental stressors was acknowledged as the chief objective.
Havermans et al. (2018) state ongoing communication between workers and managers, and supportive involvement with stakeholders concerning work-related stress prevention are essential methods for decreasing stress. Additionally, it could raise heightened awareness of the workers experiences, and increase the transparency of higher management regarding developments within the organization.
