The video gives both conceptual explanation of the model and demonstration. Pay attention to how Johnson tracks and highlights the cycle of interactions (at 26, 30 and 37 min), and how she facilitates direct communication between the couple at an emotional level (45-55 min.) You should all watch through 1:10 and the rest is Johnson’s reflection on the session which is up to you to watch or not.
On the discussion board you can comment briefly on what intrigued you about the tracking and facilitation of communication. As a whole, I also want you to think about how the experiential approach is useful or needs adaptation when working with your current or anticipated clientele.
