You must select recent experiences of two unrelated groups that you have participated in. (Recent = the past 3 months). Ideally, this would involve one group where you have no formal authority and another group where you do have formal authority. Please note the groups you choose MUST have a minimum of five members. Essay Structure With your chosen groups or teams, you should describe, explore and analyze the situations or experiences, including:
• A description of the groups in their organizational context and a single event or a sequence of connected events
• An exploration of the different thoughts and feelings that might have been experienced by you and the other team members in each group – some of these might be your fantasies about what was happening and what you or others were thinking.
• Sensemaking of the conscious and unconscious dynamics in each group. You should offer several alternative explanations of what might be going on for you and the members of the groups, referring to relevant concepts from the reading materials as appropriate.
• A conclusion which makes a comparison of how you take up different roles and authority in these groups and why? Please note you must include in your exhibits photos of hand-drawn “sociograms” that represent each of your groups and you should refer to these sociograms in your essay

Please be sure to reference these mainly in the sensing and conclusion sections. You can reference a bit in the exploration. The leadership reading reference is extremely important ( just reference it as leadership 2 reading)
