As leader of your work team, you were recently confronted by an angry fellow team member.
Laura, a story editor on your film production team, is upset because, for the third time in as many weeks, she was forced to give up part of her weekend for work. This time it was for a black-tie affair that everyone in the office tried to duck.
Laura is particulary angry with Bob, who:family,”Bob says he has plans with his family, and it’s like a get-out-of-jail-free card, “Laura complains to you. ” I don’t resent him or his devotion to his family. But I do resent it when my team constantly expects me to give up my personal time beacause I don’t have kids. That’s my choice, and I don’t think I should be punished for it.”
Using the principles ourlined here, work out a conflict resolution plan for laura and Bob. Add any details to make a realistic scenario.
1-What are the first steps in resolving this conflict?
2- What arguments might be offered?
3- What alternatives might be offered?
4- what do you think is the best solution?
5- How could the solution be implemented with the least friction?
