1) Policy brief topic: describe the issue you are interested in addressing in this paper. For example, some topics could be lack of trust, homicide violence, excessive use of force, etc. 

2) Context or scope of the problem: Provide relevant scholarly evidence (at least 3) and data to justify the policy relevance of the issue. In addition to scholarly sources, you can also include some graphs, charts, and other forms of data visualization essential to communicate effectively with policy-makers audiences. You can find some sources available if you review the class’ slides according to the different topics. 

4) Policy recommendations: provides concrete alternatives to tackle the policy problem based on the research and the student’s perspective and experience. This section is important to include your voice and critical thinking perspectives to provide some policy recommendations. 

7) Format: 3 to 4 pages in length (not including references), use precise language, Times New Roman 12, double-space, and 1-inch margin.
