a. What is your ecological footprint? Go to http://www.footprintcalculator.org/ (you have to enter your email address) and enter as much detail as you can in their test. (1) How many earths would it take if everyone lived like you? (2) How many global hectares (gha) is your ecological footprint?
b. Go to https://www.footprintnetwork.org/our-work/ecological-footprint/ and page down to World Footprint. How many earths does this organization calculate that humanity is using right now?
c. You can find the “ecological footprint” and “bio-capacity” of various countries around the world (for 2012) at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_ecological_footprint. (The link for up-to-date data doesn’t seem to work). What are both these numbers for Canada, US, China and India.
d. (1) Is your ecological footprint above or below that of the country you live in? (2) Is your ecological footprint above or below the bio-capacity of the country you live in?
