Research Question: GLOBALIZATION AND THE FAMILY BUSINESS: How has Globalization Impacted the Family Firm? Institutionalization/Family Unity?
Is globalization beneficial or not to the family businesses? Why?How? Advantages and disadvantages?
-Please follow the outline&headings that I presented ( add in more headings and subheadings where you see fit), I uploaded them as a word document. I also uploaded the articles as pdf and a website source link.
-Please pay attention to the following requirements, these are what my professor wants for this research paper;
I. An Introduction which identifies the topic of your paper and your main idea/your thesis.
II. The Body: Main content and themes supporting your main thesis.
III. Conclusion: Your closing views and insights. Concluding remarks. What did you learn?
IV. References: The resources you used to write your paper. Please give credit to those sources you used in your paper. Yo need not cite “General” knowledge but you do need to give credit to those authors whose specific ideas you used to support your thesis. REMEMBER, PERIODICALS AND WIKIPEDIA ARE NOT SCHOLARLY RESOURCES!!

This is good……but don’t just take the headers from these sources, paraphrase and give them back to me which is what this looks like.
For a paper of this nature, you should: read/sift through around 18-20 different references to gather and develop your thoughts and then identify your main headers/themes (about 4-5) to support your thesis. You should then be able to draw from those references to fill out and build your themes, citing the various authors for specific ideas other than your own.
Keep focused on those key headers. Consolidate. Don’t diffuse the subject.
You should also consider that globalization for all the benefits it brings to family businesses (access to financial resources, commodities at competitive prices, talent, consumer markets, etc) you should also consider the downside, i.e. competition, negative influence on family values, etc).
