Old Testament paper
I have some other requirements from my professor sourcing wise.
on Longman-Dillard, our learning modules on the various sections of the Old Testament
in the course, and your own reading of the Bible and key scholars write a 15-page paper
on a key theological theme in the Old Testament which reveals interaction with the
Bible, the textbook by Longman-Dillard, the course material and at least 5 other
secondary resources published after 1990 (see below Bibliography: Biblical Theology,
also feel free to contact the professor for helpful resources on your topic). Internet
resources (except those available through the Library, e.g., ATLA, DTL) or Study
Bibles are not acceptable and must be approved by the professor. The theological
theme(s) that you cover must show interaction with the corpora of the Old Testament
covered this semester: Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy)
and the Former Prophets (Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings), showing sensitivity to the
diversity of expression of theology in the Old Testament while also points of continuity
and unity in this theology. In the closing section of the paper (2 pages) you should
identify preliminary links between this Old Testament theology and the theology of the
New Testament and through this the impact on the church today. A statement of the
percentage of Longman-Dillard you have read must be included on the title page. Grade
reduction for not reading Longman-Dillard will be up to 10% of the assignment. (I’ve done the last part already)
submitted in PDF format.
All material which is submitted should be double spaced with 1" margins utilizing a
readable font (12 pt). It must have a title page (make sure you record your reading for
the semester on this cover page, see above, Reading) and bibliography, which are not
included in the length required. It should be written in excellent modern literary English
with proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and rhetoric (including an introduction,
conclusion and logical flow of argument).
