Discuss why it is important to use a format such as APA when writing scholarly works?

It’s taken me far too long to come to terms with using The American Psychological Association style. Initially, it was a frustration to use for me as I did not do well with conforming to the rules on citations. Now, with my new degree focus I can understand more about why this formatting is so useful.

Use of the standard formatting known as the American Psychological Association, or the APA Style started in 1929.
