Higher education administrators must navigate diverse current and pressing issues in their daily practice. In our course,
we have outlined some major issues for us to discuss as a class, yet our course topics are not an exhaustive list.
Therefore, each student will sign up for one day in which they will present for 30 minutes about a current issue with a
partner. Your dyad will be responsible for finding 2-3 current articles related to a current issue in higher education from
sources such as the Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, or Huffington Post. Journal articles, research articles,
and opinion articles SHOULD NOT be used to complete this assignment. The dates on the articles should be between the
years 2017-2020, as the higher education landscape is changing rapidly. If you have questions as you are looking for
relevant articles, please connect with. Your role is to help your peers and the instructors
make meaning of and understand the significance of the issue for higher education. You must submit your readings to
your peers at least one week (Monday by 5:30 pm) in advance of your presentation date via Blackboard discussion
thread, so that your classmates can skim.
In addition to the current issue presentation, you will submit an individually written 3-4-page paper to the instructors
that review your chosen articles (summarizes key points and critically evaluates each article) and provide your opinion
about the issue and possible solutions. Your summary should not exceed one page of this assignment.
Specific Instruction:
Please read only from sources as described above and write 4 pages about current issues as: “tattoos, piercing, and traditionally unprofessional clothing”.
Use APA 7th edition.
Include those references as described in the description.
