Thank You For Your Submission.
You have selected an appropriate article and have critiqued it in a concise and informative manner. You could have expanded a little with regards to explaining your search strategy but this is minor point.
Within your appraisal you refer to the authors using students but do not expand as to what types of students were used?
Did this have an impact on the study etc. Also, you used some terms but did not expain them further such as CONSORT. It is important when using an acronym for the first time that you write it out in full and give abrief explaination of its meaning to the reader.
Your discussion of the findings was concise and relevant and you make some interesting points. Your discussion regarding legal and ethical issues did go off track a little and did not really add anything to your work. This wordage could have been better utilised
analysing the findings and their application to your practice. You also cited an old reference (2005) to highlight the difficulties during resuscitation and the cause of many delays in chest compressions etc but failed to notice that the need for continuous chest compressions came into existence in the 2010 guideline updates, five years after the cited reference. Are these delays in chest compressions still evident in today’s practice?
Overall this is a very good piece of work. Concise, well written and executed. A little more focus and analysis of the findings would have helped to improve your mark. Well done.
