• Currently AWS-only
• Lots of bandwidth
• Connectivity and security tightly integrated
• Semi-automated VPC on-boarding
• VPC – VPC traffic hairpinning
• Public peering routed over Direct Connect
• VPC’s plumbed directly to Direct Connect (no hub/spoke)
• Internet access provided by university, not by cloud provider
Challenges:
• Complex routing
• Currently no Azure
• Hard to provide connectivity separate from CloudShield
– Difficult to retire legacy DX
• Hard to separate costs
• Semi-automated application on-boarding
• Expensive circuit costs
