Pick an innovation of your choice. This can be any innovation from any industry of your choice. Please make sure that you choose an innovation and NOT a company. Discuss the following in a two to three page short paper:
- How would you characterize this innovation on the dimensions of (you must discuss why your innovation falls under each of these dimensions. e.g. you think your innovation is a product innovation and not a process innovation because….or you think it is both because…..Please do this for all 4 dimensions):
- Product vs Process innovation
- Radical vs incremental innovation
- Competence-enhancing vs competence-destroying innovation
- Architectural vs component innovation
- If your innovation was a first-mover, did it experience first-mover advantage or disadvantages? If it was a follower or a late-entrant, did it experience any advantages from entering the market later?
Format Guidelines
This individual assignment should be typed using double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font with one-inch margins. The length of the paper should be two to three pages. Make sure to include a reference/citation page (which will not count towards the 2-3 pages). Please use headings, subheadings, and bullet points when applicable to delineate your arguments.
