This is based on my practicum which I am doing at the Mental Health Court in Lexington Kentucky and the clients there are all substance abuse users.
Part 1. (1 page double spaced) Describe the overall process of intervention in your agency, including:
- how the assessment process guides the intervention process;
- who provides the intervention, and what intervention is provided;
- the typical frequency and duration of intervention;
- how the intervention is terminated with clients.
Part 2. (1 page double space) What documents or plans guide the process of intervention (treatment plans, case plans, etc.)?
- How are these documents used by staff and clients?
- Explain how intervention goals and objectives are developed. How is the client involved in this process?
- Identify theoretical frameworks and practice models that are used most frequently at the agency to guide the process of intervention.
Part 3. (1 page double spaced) Reflect on the intervention process(es) and identify one area of strength and one area of potential improvement.
