Interview Three Healthcare Professionals
In this assignment, you will be interviewing three different healthcare professionals whose skills, knowledge, and experiences can give you some insight into what they view as professionalism and how they use it in their careers. The people being interviewed can be from any area of healthcare. The interview can be conducted in person or over the phone. Come up with 3-4 questions you want to ask them, have your questions prepared in advance, and be punctual and organized when talking with them. It may help to look through the table of contents in your textbook to get ideas of topics you want to discuss with them. You can ask all three people the same questions or you can use different ones.
Please stick to topics of professionalism in healthcare rather than the healthcare system in general.
If an individual tells you they don’t have time to talk to you, that’s fine, just seek a different respondent for this assignment. This type of assignment can’t be completed at the last minute because of the need to contact most professionals during regular business hours, so don’t procrastinate! Be respectful of their time and keep the interview fairly short, unless they have shown a willingness to talk longer.
Submission Details:
- Once the interviews are complete, summarize your conversations with the three healthcare professionals including how you can use their responses in your career. A paragraph or two for each interview will suffice. Your paper should be 2-3 pages.
- Use APA formatting; double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman Font, and properly cite any sources used. Proper grammar and spelling are required. Proofread your paper and have a friend proofread it. Please include an APA formatted title page; no abstract is necessary.
- Consider using the University Writing Center (Links to an external site.) to improve your writing skills. They offer appointments and drop-ins. As you progress through this program and begin your career, good writing skills are essential.
- You may use the course textbook and other sources for ideas.
- Save your essay as a Word document and submit in Canvas by the due date.
