Parida, S., Kausalya, V., Mishra, S., &Adinarayanan, S. (2017). Dose-reversal effect relationship of three different doses of neostigmine in obese patients: A randomised clinical trial. Indian Journal of Anaesthesia61(10), 787. 

 

  Based on this study it appears that the relative dose of neostigmine assists in the surgical and post-operative recovery of patients with obesity.    A power analysis was done and recommended a total of 45 patients.  This is an RCT (level 1) where individuals were randomized into one of three groups.  What is the quality grade for this study? 

Why do the authors recommend a larger sample? Why is this study relevant to obesity?
