Introduction/Conclusion

For this activity I would like for you to simply write an Introduction and a Conclusion.  You do not need to do any research.  You do not need to write the body of the speech or any transitions.  I only want an Introduction and Conclusion.  As you do this short assignment you may be thinking that both of these short paragraphs seem really repetitive.  If that is true; then you are probably going in the right direction.  I will list a series of topics below and all that you need to do is write an Introduction and a Conclusion based on the guidelines discussed in the previous lecture.  The Introductions and Conclusions do not need to be perfect.  I just want you to get some practice, and allow me an opportunity to provide feedback to you, before you write and deliver your Introductions and Conclusions for your First Call Speech. 

Options:

1. Pick any musical artist (alive or deceased) and write why we should or should not listen to their music.
2. Pick any tv show (currently airing or an old show that is no longer in production) and write why we should or should not watch this show.
3. Pick any movie and write why we should or should not watch this movie.
4. Pick any amusement park and write why we should or should not go to that amusement park.
5. Pick any item that you could purchase (clothes, cell phones, cars, watches, literally anything) and write why we should or should not purchase those items.
6. Pick any political candidate or political position and write why we should support or not support this person.
