Develop a paper between 800 to 1,000 words responding to the following question:

Is Buddhism pessimistic?

Please follow the guidelines below as you develop your paper:
The paper needs to have a title, introduction, body, and conclusion.
o Title  think of an interesting titl that gets the readers attention
o Introduction  present the topic and your argument (your answer to the
question youre trying to answer)
o Body  provide necessary background and explain why you have arrived
at your answer (provide evidence)
o Conclusion  wrap up your paper by discussing the
implications/significance of your argument
The paper should incorporate at least four outside academic sources (scholarly
books or articles). Wikipedia pages and nonacademic online articles are not
acceptable. Evaluate your sources critically and determine whether they can
support your argument. You may use the main textbook as one of your sources.
You may NOT use the supplementary readings and the class lectures as your
sources. Please cite your sources appropriately using the MLA (Modern
Language Association) format. Please also prepare a separate Works Cited page.
Purdue Online Writing Lab has a nice summary on formatting and style:
https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/mla_style/mla_formatting_and_
style_guide/mla_formatting_and_style_guide.html. Your textbook has a useful
bibliography at the end of each chapter. This should be a good place to start your
research. You can use scholarly sources found online. Use our library databases!
Please put your name and page numbers on your paper.
The paper should be between 800 and 1,000 words, doublespaced.

The term paper will be graded based on the following criteria:
First Draft  10% (out of 5 points)
o Content/Argument (2 points)
o Organization (1 point)
o Language (style, grammar, and punctuation) (1 point)
o Timely submission as a PDF file (1 point)
Final Draft  10% (out of 5 points)
