Write a paper that formulates your approach to data collection and analysis in your research project. Consider the following:

1. Explains the significance of qualitative research in applied research
2. Includes an explanation of the contribution that quantitative research, including metadata research, makes in applied research
3. Describes the contribution that applied research can have on the legal industry.
4. The qualitative data you plan to collect
   1. The target population you have identified
   2. Variables affecting this population
   3. Methods for collecting this data, e.g., surveys or interviews with sample populations, focus groups. You might refer to the measurement tools proposed in previous writings or expand on these.
5. The quantitative data you plan to collect
   1. Descriptive statistics that characterize your target population
      1.    Descriptive statistics found in existing databases
      2.    Descriptive statistics that need to be collected
6. The methods of analyzing the data collected. Refer to the Credibility components of a research project beginning on p. 22 of the text and the Analyzability component of a research project beginning on p. 34 of the text.

In addition to fulfilling the specifics of the assignment, a successful paper must also meet the following criteria:           

• Include a cover page and references page in 10–12 point font (Arial, Courier, and Times New Roman are acceptable)
• Viewpoint and purpose should be clearly established and sustained
• Assignment should follow the conventions of Standard English (correct grammar, punctuation, etc.)
• Writing should be well ordered, logical, and unified, as well as original and insightful
• Your work should display superior content, organization, style, and mechanics
• Appropriate citation style should be followed

You should also make sure to:

• Include a title page with full name, class name, section number, and date
• Include an introductory and concluding paragraph and demonstrate college-level communication through the composition of original materials in Standard English
• Use examples to support your discussion
