You will need to survey at least 2 groups (2 samples). Each sample must be > 30 individuals. You need
to define your samples and explain why you chose that sample. For example, I am researching which
gender eats more. My sample groups would be men, woman, and nonbinary. My hypotheses: Men eat
more than woman or nonbinary genders.
4. You can do a google survey. If you do an online survey, please include the link to your survey in your
paper. Make sure you target your intended audience. You don’t want children to answer your poll, or if
the poll is focused on women’s needs, don’t include males, etc.
5. Collect your survey data. Keep survey data separate for both samples. Organize your data.
6. From each sample, find the following minimum statistics:
• A probability distribution table
• Histogram w/ labels
• Pie chart w/ labels
• Measures of central tendency
• Measures of dispersion
• A normal distribution curve with supporting data points identified.
7. Summarize your findings for each sample.
8. Compare the samples: draw 4-5 conclusions/inferences from your comparisons.
9. Your paper must include survey design, all collected data, data calculations, data tables/graphs,
comparisons, and conclusions.
10. Your paper must be typed. Submission needs to be a single, PDF file (no google docs, links, docx, etc.).
Keep the paper to < 8 pages.
