You will turn in paper topic proposal and a bibliography. If you have done enough research to
state a preliminary thesis, write it in the proposal; otherwise, simply state what you are
researching and what you are interested in discovering. This project will be the basis of your
Research Paper that is due near the end of the course. Be sure you stay within the American
colonial eranot past the year 1776.
INSTRUCTIONS
12 pages with the actual text of the proposal no less than half a page (no title page
needed).
The preliminary bibliography must be on a separate page following the proposal
paragraph and must consist of at least 3 primary source documents and at least 3
secondary books and/or articles you have consulted.
You must list your bibliography in correct Turabian style. You will also be graded on
grammar and writing style in this proposal.
