You are to complete a 500-word psychological case study of a character of your choice from any of the following movies. All are Disney/Pixar animated movies.

Your case study should provide examples from the story that exemplify a psychological concept from any Module in the Myers and DeWall textbook.
For example – You can choose from the following concepts from the following Modules:
Module 7: Altered states of consciousness
Module 8: Sleep stages
Module 9: Tolerance and Addiction
Module 10: Temperament and Heredity
Module 11: Natural Selection and Adaptation
Module 12: How does experience influence Development
Module 13: Stability and Change
Module 14: Social Development
Module 15: Forming an Identity
Module 16: Love and Work
These are just a few of the psychological concepts that might be shown in a movie character’s behaviour in a specific scene in the chosen movie. To be sure we know what you are writing about include the name of the character and movie they are in along with a simple reference to the concept (and Module) from the textbook.
What we are looking for is how well you describe the character’s behaviour and the scene, how well you explain the specific psychological concept and how closely you show the connection between the two. It is a short piece of writing so delve deeply rather than superficially and be careful of spelling and grammar. A rubric is available in the Turnitin link as to maximum points possible.
So, pick a character and then describe how they illustrate the psychological concept from the textbook. Have fun with this project – choose a character that allows you to clearly show understanding of course material.
