Where does a photographer’s ethical responsibility begin and end? What is your position on “beauty retouching” or excessive manipulation of the shape of the body? Should images be labeled if a certain level of manipulation has occurred during the editing process? Why? Why not? Be thorough and provide examples to support your position. (500 words )

2. Every image requires a different approach in how to solve the challenge presented by the needs of the artist or client. Have you ever experienced a retouching challenge you could not overcome? If so, share your story, and any sample images you may have. If not, find one or two images in your catalog that need to be retouched in a way that is beyond your skill set. Share them here with your class for ideas and inspiration. Make sure you completely address the areas you feel need work and enhancement so the class can provide valuable feedback.(500 words)

3. Now that you have learned a new way of working with Photoshop and Lightroom, consider how these skills will inform your workflow moving forward. Will you incorporate smart objects into your workflow? What is your favorite thing about the smart features we explored? Discuss some potential drawbacks to this workflow. Lastly, discuss the evolution of machine learning and “artificial intelligence” within the imaging programs we use today. Theorize how these features could be implemented in the future. Do you think machine learning alters what photography is and could become? Provide some examples of what the future of photography might be. (500 words)
