You are the HR manager of a large hotel chain operating in Los Angeles. The hotel has operations in several countries, including France, Norway, Singapore, and Japan. Recently, the Japanese site opened, and you are now in the process of sending an experienced manager, who will be in charge of managing the food and beverage department at the hotel for 3 years. Moreover, the manager is expected to provide training for this staff.
Your role is to design a cross-cultural training program for the American manager, which can help the manager adapt to the Japanese culture.
