Reading Strategy Presentation andReflection Assignment Instructions
Overview
Thisassignment provides you with the opportunity to research, apply knowledge anddemonstrate how to use a selected reading strategy in the secondary contentarea.
and two outsidescholarly sources, you will explain and describe thestrategy and include how to modify its use across the curriculum. You will thencreate aprofessional development presentation demonstrating the strategy. Thepresentation will be created and recorded using Adobe Spark. Afterwards, youwill watch the presentation and reflect on your delivery and content. You willwrite a reflective response that describes the strengths and limitations, insightsgained, and reflect on what you would do differently when preparing a professionalpresentation in the future.

1. Part 1
Investigate how to use the readingstrategy for your content area and explain how this is relevant for otherteachers. Locate two current journal articles that support the strategysmethodology (not blog articles, Pinterest posts, etc.).
o One article may be older than five years(a seminal study for strategy) and one current within the last five years. Articlesneed to relate to the type of reading strategy and not necessarily yourcontent area.
Writea 300-word description of the strategy and include research to support thestrategy. Explain how to integrate the strategy in your content area, and alsohow to modify its use across the curriculum. Include proper in-text citationsin current APA formatting.
2. Part 2
Preparea 3-5 minute presentation using the free web-based presentation program, AdobeSpark. Include the following in your professional development presentation:
o Introduction: Name, Course, Semester,Year
o Overview of the topic
o 2-3 learning outcomes for thepresentation
o Explanation of the major componentsof your strategy and how it supports comprehension in the content areas.

Video Guidelines:
Use your voice tonarrate the video presentation.
Do not read fromthe textbook or other resources.
Do not embed othervideos.
Presentation mustbe 3-5 minutes, clearly narrated, and visually appealing.
Provide a link tothe video in the Reading Strategy Presentationand Reflection Template.
Check your sharingpermissions on your video. Be sure that others do not need a password to accessthe video link.

State what youwould do differently the next time you create a professional presentation.
The reflectionshould be a minimum 200 words.
