The purpose of this assignment is to reflect on how principles of leadership can be applied in forming cross-cultural partnerships that empower others, foster collaboration, and improve and support the local community.
To document your leadership experiences, team collaboration, and learning, you will complete a series of weekly journal entries that will be used as the basis for the Topic 6 benchmark assignment. The concepts of community engagement and building a culture of health are critical for public health professionals. Reflect on the work your group did this week and think about what you have learned about applying leadership and the formation of cross-cultural partnerships that empower others, foster collaboration, and improve and support the local community. In a 250-word reflection, discuss the following:
1. Explain what it means to create a culture of health, including discussion of the importance of forming cross-cultural partnerships within the community.
2. Thinking about the intervention developed by your CLC, identify specific principles of leadership, governance, and management that could be employed to empower community stakeholders, and encourage collaboration that will result in support for your intervention.
While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
