This assignment serves as a cumulative reflection on changes in your own perspective on human sexuality as well as a tool to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of various sexuality topics. The reflection will have three sections. Please use the following sections as headers for each part of your response. Times New Roman, 12 point font, single spaced.
- Section 1: Reflection Remix (about 1/2 page; 1 point for this section)
- Revisit your Personal Reflection Discussion Post.
- How have your definitions and perspectives evolved over the course of the semester? (5 points)
- Don’t just re-state your definitions, there is no need for that. Just write about the ways in which your definitions and perspectives have evolved. If they haven’t evolved, write about what specifically has remained constant or been affirmed during the semester.
- Section 2: And the winner is… (about 1/2 page, 1 point)
- Write a brief summary of a lecture topic discussed in class that was the most valuable, interesting or impactful to you.
- Summarize the content. Demonstrate your knowledge beyond "I liked X class and I learned a lot." WHY did you like and WHAT did you learn?
- Reflect on what you learned or gained from exploring this issue. Now that you’ve learned this content, how does it impact your lens and life? What will you do with this new information? How has this already shifted things for you?
- Write a brief summary of a lecture topic discussed in class that was the most valuable, interesting or impactful to you.
- Section 3: Connections, Connections (about 1-2 paragraphs for each connection, 3 points)
- Select 3 additional and different lecture topics from Section 2 and analyze how each of the 3 selected topics intersect, connect, impact, or influence your selected topic for Section 2.
- Your brief analyses should demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the different topic areas as well any reflections about these (1 points/analyses)
- Reflect on what this intersection/connection means to you, to others. How might this intersection/connection show up in real life?
- Your brief analyses should demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the different topic areas as well any reflections about these (1 points/analyses)
- Select 3 additional and different lecture topics from Section 2 and analyze how each of the 3 selected topics intersect, connect, impact, or influence your selected topic for Section 2.
