Question 1:

In Week 2, you were asked to jot down what your findings were for your investigation into your current digital footprint, and then describe how well that aligns to the footprint that you want others to see; next, you were asked to describe some things you could start to do now to build the digital footprint that you really wanted. Write a 2-3 sentence summary of your reflection journal entry at that time. (If you didn’t write a reflection, simply state “No reflection at that time.”)

Question 2:

In Week 3, you were asked to jot down some quick ideas for the blog you were going to create: the topic, the intended audience, what it would convey about you, how it aligned with your personal/professional goals, and whether you had any concerns about creating the blog. Write a 2-3 sentence summary of your reflection journal entry at that time. (If you didn’t write a reflection, simply state “No reflection at that time.”)

Question 3:

You have completed many activities since the beginning of the course. In one paragraph of at least 12 sentences, reflect on how your digital footprint has changed since the start of the course:

  • have you made contributions to the online world and to your digital footprint?
  • how would you describe the visible “legacy” that will reflect your activities this semester — what things you leaving in the digital world after completing this course? (Be specific. For example, blog posts, tweets, images, infographics, videos, awareness activities, etc.)
  • if your activity has been associated with your actual name, how does your activity align with your original hopes (from Week 2) for your digital footprint?
  • if your activity has not been associated with your actual name (i.e., if you used a pseudonym), is there anything in your digital work that reflects your digital footprint goals at the start of the semester?
  • in what ways are you now better skilled to shape your digital footprint going forward, beyond this course?

Question 4:

Considering your reflections above, what grade would you give yourself out of 5 for your reflective engagement in this course?

Here are some examples:

  • If you didn’t complete the journal reflections and you don’t have any reflections on how your digital footprint has evolved and can continue to evolve, you might give yourself 0/5.
  • If you completed the journal activities and can clearly describe your reflections on your digital footprint has evolved and can continue to evolve after this course, you might give yourself a 5/5.
