For this Reflective Essay, take time to examine the work you did on the final Persuasive Essay and other assignments you completed for this course. Consider the progress you have made over the course of the semester in all the areas that were measured on these assignments.
Over the course of the next several days, I will be grading your work and posting grades and feedback in D2L. Not all of the work will be graded by exam time; however, if your persuasive essay has been graded, you may view this feedback and the electronic rubric for the Persuasive Essay if they become available and add your reflections on this final assignment to your final exam Reflective Essay 3.
Examine the feedback you received on your other essays and the information on those electronic rubrics.
Review the planning and research you did for all of your assignments. Consider content, organization, language, grammar and mechanics, and format.
Consider the homework assignments. Did you complete all of them? Why or why not?
Once you have completed this analysis of your own work, develop an essay in which you discuss your performance in each of the major elements of the assignments and ways in which you have improved over the course of the semester. What areas would you still like to improve? What specific strategies can you use to improve in each area? What goals do you want to set for your work in writing, researching, analysis, and persuasion in the future as you pursue your studies? Do you have the resources or access to the resources to improve?
Be clear and bold about your observations about your own work. Set tangible goals for improvement and state them in your essay.
Guidelines:
Typewritten in MLA format with MLA heading on the first page.
Language should be Standard Academic English. You may use first person, but do not use second person. The diction should be formal, aside from the use of first person.
Two or three pages would be fine for the length. Just respond to the areas mentioned in the prompt.
When you are finished, title it Reflective Essay #3. This essay is 3.3 points of the final course grade.
Of course, guidelines for academic honesty apply. Do not obtain material from the internet or work with others on this assignment.
This exam will open on December 10, 9 AM and must be uploaded to the drop box below by December 13, 11 PM. No late submissions will be possible.
