The United States is considered to be more religious than other industrialized nations. Sociologists have noted that when individuals are asked to report their religious behaviors, folks vary in the types of religious activities they engage in (prayer, going to a worship service, identifying with a religion). Religiosity is a term that is used to describe how individuals regularly practice their religion and can be intrinsic (a persons inner religious life) or extrinsic (a persons public display of faith).
For this assignment, you will have the opportunity to conduct some social research on religion by interviewing at least three individuals about their religiosity.
Before interviewing: Before you conduct your interview, think about who you want to interview. It can be family members, friends, and other people in your social network. I recommend sticking with people you feel closest to, as they are likely to be more honest than a complete stranger. You will also need to have a list of questions to ask. That list appears below. You may want to copy and paste this list to a Word document, for example, and then print it or use it on your laptop or tablet to help you make notes as you interview:

Has your commitment to your religion changed over time?
Is your religious life separate from you life in other institutions (school, work, etc.)?
