Instructions:

  • Read the Research Log Description.

  • Google the terms research log, research notebook, taking notes, Cornell notes, etc. Select Images in Google to see examples of note-taking systems.

  • Following the directions on the Research Log Description, create your log. You may have already started taking notes in a notebook. That’s fine. If you like that notebook, just keep going. If this notebook isn’t working for you, find another one and paste in the notes you have so far.

  • Try several different methods. Develop a system of notetaking and record keeping that works for you. No matter what style you choose, do make sure that your research log includes all the elements decribed in the Research Log Description.

  • Include a photo of a page of your Log, if you can.
