Use SNHU’s Psychology Resource Guide for Undergraduate and Graduate Students, you will search for and select a journal article which uses observation in the methodological design. Use either the PsycARTICLES or PsycINFO database, select “Advanced Search,”, and then one of the options that will appear is “Methodology.” You can use this to narrow down your search to only those options which are likely to be observational such as qualitative. If you use the qualitative methodology limiter, in the search boxes type in a keyword or two describing the topic of the research you are interested in reading. You may even add in the keyword observation OR observational to capture that word being used in the abstract. Make sure to read through the article to determine if an observational method is used.

Using the article you select, answer the questions in the Observational Study Worksheet. A narrative format is not required. Your answers should be embedded directly into the worksheet; you do not need to create a new document.
