Dear Students,
This is an opportunity to earn 10 extra credit points.
Search over the Internet and identify one dataset with at least 300 records that you could use to derive a managerial insight. A dataset contains rows (i.e. records) and columns (i.e. attributes, variables). The file submitted should include a description of the managerial insight that you would identify from the dataset, the source of the dataset files (i.e. link to the website) and an identification of the columns involved in your managerial decision. Zip into a single file if multiple files are involved.
Example: in an accidents dataset, I will use the columns “wheather”, “drunk_driver”, and “hit_and_run” to see if I can predict whether or not there were any “fatalities” involved in the accident. “fatalities ” is also a column in my dataset. I include this description and the link to the dataset in a word document. I then take this file and the dataset files, and I zip them all into a zip file and submit.
