(Keep in mind that several popular CAM services and techniques are covered in your text; you may choose one of these, or another not covered in your text. Also, you may choose a CAM that could be applicable to your client/profile, but are not required to do so.) Perform a brief search for articles, resources, websites, etc. on your chosen CAM. Collect appropriate overview information on your topic, and keep track of your resources as appropriate. 2) Write a short essay overview of your chosen CAM, including the below topics: ● A brief history of this CAM in the United States, including how popular it is, among whom, and where and when this CAM originated. ● How is this CAM regarded within the modern (traditional) medical community? ● What are some best practices for this CAM (ideally informed by a national organization or standards board)? ● Lastly, what are some advantages and disadvantages of recommending this CAM for use by older adults?
