Identify at least 5 culture-related terms and concepts from Chapter 2 in this clip. Because nonmaterial culture is used in the example, do not include this term in your answer. For each of your 5 terms, include the following four pieces of information: term, section in book, textbook definition, and VERY specific examples of behaviors that demonstrate the term in the video. (Examples should be exactbehaviors or words you see in the video.)

- Nonmaterial culture (also called symbolic culture) Section 2.1 – a group’s way of thinking and patterns of behavior. This includes beliefs, values, language, gestures, and other forms of interaction. Nonmaterial culture is seen in the video when Eddie and his mom go to the grocery store. They are unfamiliar with the way Americans interact in the grocery store. In their culture, people crowd together, yell over one another, and argue, but in the American grocery store the people were quiet, friendly, and kept their distance from one another. Each group had a different way of interacting in the grocery store. Each group’s ‘normal’ behaviors are part of their nonmaterial culture.
