Although the outline is short (1~1.5 page; double spaced), it will require you to think, research, and plan quite a lot. After your thinking, researching, and planning, you should be able to be clear about "what you want to do for this project", "what and how much information/resources is available/unavailable, where to get those resources, what additional information/resources that you would need", and "what is your plan in terms of time, tasks, etc."

Then, you should be able to define and focus your topic/issue clearly with sufficient justifications and set your project objectives by stating what you want to accomplish in the project specifically based on your own unique perspective on the issue. In other words, you project should be able to offer some new insight on the chosen topic/issue beyond what is already known. The project should not be a summary of some known information/articles about the topic.

Use references to build your arguments objectively throughout the outline. Avoid subjective opinions and mere guess simply based on personal experiences and observations only. Your personal intuition or experience may guide your direction to the issue (develop your own perspective on the issue); however, you should establish the objectivity in your arguments. How to? Use references to support and/or strengthen your arguments. References can be academic articles, newspapers, industry articles and any other sources for you to use and cite.
