Name the topic that you will review and appraise. (The topic must be reflected in the course resources, approximately 1 – 8 words).
Identify and discuss health policies that apply to the topic. (This requires approximately 600 words and is to be supported with evidence and in-text referencing).
Main focus of the case study is on policy. FIND the relevant policy behind the SIDS. Then use the policy approach as international-WHO, then narrow it down to Australia, then narrow it down to Queensland State. Add Guidelines for the policy. Add statistics of the policy through Australian bureau of statistics. This is the main part of the assignment.
Apply principles of health promotion, and primary health care relevant to the topic. (This requires approximately 250 words and to be supported with evidence and in-text referencing).
Include Ottawa Charter in relation to the policy discussed in above section. Add principles from the images attached below in a way that they relate to the policy used in case.
Discuss how advocacy applies to the topic. (This requires approximately 200 words and to be supported with evidence and in-text referencing).
Start with definition of Advocacy in relation to the used policy. Then start discussing how the policy address advocacy for the topic (SIDS).
Apply the principles of equity, rights and access applicable to this health issue as relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. (This requires approximately 450 words and to be supported with evidence in-text referencing)
Start with, How it relates to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. Use PEPI-POD program. I will attach a document containing all the information about PEPI-POD. Use Social Justice framework and relate it to the policy. Use close the gap and relate it to the policy. I will attach the lecture slides which have a lot of information about SIDS. Please include the social determinants of health inserted below as images and relate them to the policy.
