B Out of the three friendship networks discussed in Friends With Academic Benefits by Janice McCabe, the network that most describes the college friendship network would be the sampler network. Samplers, according to McCabe, make a friend or two from a variety of places, but the friends remain unconnected to each other. I had a friend or two in each one of my classes but once those classes were over consequently so was the friendships. We would help each other with homework and particaote in group activities but that was it. Well pass by each other in the hallway or speak when we see each other outside of school but we weren’t really close. I was able to do what I needed to do without support from friends and I was academically self-sufficient but, I did feel the sense of isolation McCabe described in the reading. I didn’t experience the college bestfriend and closeness that some people experienced but I did make plenty of associates and gain a couple of instagram followers.
