After you have read up through the assigned reading for (through Ch22) where do our sympathies lie? Think about the journey (both physically and mentally) that Humbert makes, and whether or not we feel bad for him in light of all of the negative things that plague him. Remember that I am not asking if you condone his actions, but whether or not we can sympathize with him as a person.
