“The Story of an Hour”, by Kate Chopin, is an essential short story in the canon of American Literature in part because it utilizes multiple literary techniques and lends itself to multiple types of analysis depending on what “lens” of literary criticism through which you choose to examine the story.
First, read the link posted about the different types of critical literary lenses. Then, compose a paragraph of at least 250 words and two integrated quotes in which you choose one of the lenses of literary theory and how this story can be analyzed using that lens.
