B Assignment 2: Theory analysis paper due in two parts.Submit via Blackboard. Students will write a 5-6–page research paper in which you examine two theories of human behavior that we have discussed in class (each part will be about 3 pages). The assignment will be graded on the clarity of writing, proper use of grammar, good sentence and paragraph structure, and accurate use of theoretical terms and concepts. This paper should go beyond a summary or description of each theory.
It must be an analysis of the ways in which the theories are similar or different regarding the following dimensions. This will be completed in two parts. In part I, you will focus on one theory from beginning of the semester and in part II, a theory from later in the semester:
Your paper should include a brief introduction and summary paragraph. It is expected that students use a minimum of 6 authoritative sources (peer reviewed journal articles and books) for this paper. Internet sources such as VerywellMind.com,Wikipedia.com, SimplyPsychology.com, or program descriptions from schools of social work, etc., are not acceptable in this type of research paper. You should also follow APA 7 style and demonstrate effective writing skills. 5pts (2.5)
Total final paper points: 30 (you will complete this paper in 2 parts; first part due March 20th
and second part due on May 1st). You will combine parts I and II and submit both together, end of the semester.
This written assignment offers another method (in addition to tests, oral presentations, and smaller in-class paired assignments) for assessing students’ mastery of course content. This is an independent, written assignment completed outside of class time. The assignment addresses the following EPAS competencies; 1, 2, 4, 7
