Objective: Write a 3-5 page thesis-driven literary analysis essay on Lorraine Hansberrys A Raisin in the Sun, using evidence from the play (via the book or the 1961 film version) and one secondary source from the SCCC librarys databases.
Successful essays will:
Be at least five paragraphs long (introduction, at least three body paragraphs, and conclusion)
Have an introduction with a thesis statement as the last sentence
Have at least three body paragraphs built using the quote sandwich format ( Quotation sandwich and verbs to introduce sources.pdf ). Each body paragraph must contain at least one quote from one of the two sources (A Raisin in the Sun and one secondary source from the SCCC library database).
Be in MLA Formatting.
