This prompt is separated into two different categories. Therefore, you will be in some ways writing two different essays in one. One, there are the reasons for transferring; and two, there are the objectives.
The next two sections will be dedicated to showing you how to tackle these parts of the USC transfer essay question as well as possible. But before we get to that, here are a few key things to keep in mind while writing your transfer essay.
My story: I am 21 years old, I moved to Los Angeles last year. I study at Santa Monica College for 2 years and finish it in the summer, after the spring semester. This year I’m making a transfer to USC – University of Southern California. I study political science and want to study international relations in the future. USC has a program for a bachelor’s degree – international relations, as at the same time in other California universities there are only majors in general without deepening. I really like the history of the university itself, the prestige and opportunities that are given after graduation.
